On the BMC website there is a 374/16and a 374/16Race for my 2006 1000RRwhich is best for me? I only do street riding and nothing on the track

BMC race filters. 374/16 race lets more air in, which in theory gives more power. Make sure you clean them a little more often though.

the race filtre does not have the thicker filtre paper the street filter does so yeah just keep it clean

the BMC race filter has 2 layers while the BMC street filter has 4
so obviously you'll need to clean the BMC race filters more often ... if you're in the desert do it with every oil change ... if not, do it every 2 oil changes

Brad from SuperbikeSupply @ 828-252-2280 has the best prices on the BMC's - make sure ya get a cleaning kit when ya place an order with him

Its been said that you lose hp with the K&N.

i got the BMC race filters, just remember to wash them like every 500 - 1000 miles....i couldn't get to mine until 2000 and found dirt on the inside...where at WOT vacuum had started to suck the dirt through, just clean them everytime u lube the chain etc

B M C all the way. just had it installed on me 07' 1000 rr, its a beautiful thing.
