Briefly speaking, I believe that the 600 is much easier to control & handle. The 1000 is much more powerfull & enjoyable, & almost just as much controlable. I believe the RR's have almost the same frames, If I m not mistaken, but the 600 weighs a a bit less. If you're planing to have someone ride with you at the back, then the 1000 will provide a better ride. Bottom line, I advise you to go with the 2006 1000 RR ALL THE WAY (if you can afford it).

I picked up an 05 1000rr for $9100 otd. The 06 while a better motorcycle isn't worth the extra $2000 to me. I would go with the 1000, comfortable for a newer sportbike, and you get into the power earlier which since I'm lazy and don't like to run the gears all the time works best for me.

WOW $9100 for a brand new 05 CBR 1000 RR OTD???????? that's an excellent deal. No wonder the dealers have been pushing me to buy one. I 'm gonna try to get the 06' for $10000-$10500 otd.........Will keep you posted.

If you feel like your ready to be responsible, go for the 1000. No harder to control than the 600 just different. When you ride one you`ll get used to it a little heavier than the 6 but by no means a lard ***.

Don`t forget to factor in your insurance costs with the decision too, that can be a killer [:@]

They both only go as fast as you open the throttle

TBH I`ve never ridden along side a 6 to compare but yeah I reckon, 1000RR has 170HP - 600RR has 115HP. Both figures measured at the crank and quoted by Honda website.

All depends on what ur looking for. Some say you out grow the 6'r and wish you'd gone 1K. However, buddies of mine swear on the 6's. Me personally, a person can always grow as a rider....if respectful.....a bike never grows in HP.... Up to you bro. Think of ur style and level of patience to learn a bike, 1K can't be thrown like a 6'r. Whatever ur choice, ride safe.
