I'll be 62 in August, "Ride To Live". About the only time I feel graceful any more is when I'm carving through some twisties somewhere.
I don't get to ride as much as I'd like, except in September. A few years ago I figured out that the only way I'd ever get to really see & feel America was on one of my bikes, so every September 1st I ride the hundred miles to the Pacific Ocean then turn around and head east until my front wheel is in that other ocean then turn around again and head home, as long as I'm home by Oct 1st my ball sack remains attached. The destination is not nearly as fulfilling as the journey. Jay

The vacation time just seemed to work out for Sept and the weather is usually pretty mild coast to coast. That being said, I think I've been rained on in every state I've ridden through except Az and Nev. Two years ago I rode east across the desert to the Salton Sea in 115+ degree heat, I had to pull up into a motel and cool my heels until 2:00am before heading off into the Az desert. There is nothing like riding into a sunrise in the middle of some unkown Arizona desert then late the same day getting drenched crossing into New Mexico. It sure takes a long time for September to get here. Jay

I am 33 yearsold, which may not be very old chronologically speaking; however, I am a disabled veteran that qualifies for a handicap sticker. I have a ruptured disc and two more compressed discs in my back, arthritis in my left wrist, and my left foot has a collapsed arch. I still ride everyday that it is not raining unless it is below 30 outside. I am 5'5" tall and I have found that the CBR 1000rr fits me perfectly and is my favorite thing. I still excercise and maintain my flexibility, which is key for anyone who wants to keep going in the presence of old age or injury. You can do what you want to do as long as you do what you need to do.
