RE: 40 year old riders
I'm 55 and have an 04 1000rr. I bought it after totalling my beloved RC-51. I got my first RCat the age of 51. I ride with a gentleman who is 72 who has an 08 Hayabusa and a youngster on a ZX-10who is45. We aren't as good as we once were but we are still as good once as we ever were.
Whatis frustrating is the constant scorn you get from the riders of that other brand who think you should be on one of those from birth.
Props to the guy who is 84. I hope at that age I can still ride a sportbike because think ofwhat they will be like in 30 years given how far they have come.

Ok. To all those oldies out there that have been riding for a long time....How many of you have Tinitus (ringing in the ear)? I've been riding for over 20 years now and as a youngin, I never wore earplugs. Do now, but a little too late. I was reminded of this with an article in Sport Rider about ear plugs and some of the responses of some people about the ringing in their ears...

52 and still riding strong. I'm riding an 08 cbr1000rr. It's my first sport bike. I've been riding since 1972, mostly Harley's, but finally had the need to ride a more responsive and agile performance bike. It sure is a different world, one that I'll stick with as long as I'm able to ride.
