Default 2014 cbr1000rr

Blew a whole through my block on my 14 cbr1000 looking to replace the engine but I can’t find any details or videos on where to start and what year engine i should go with as I cant find any engines out of 2014. Any tips or Recs on getting a 16 replacement?

Hi and Welcome!

Best resource is official Honda workshop-manual for your bike. Get one and do it professional way as any dealer mechanic would. Read manual, learn procedure and follow it religiously. DO NOT look at other's videos or blogs!!! You will get lead astray and lost if you do!

Engines are everywhere, call up breaker yards in your area, call ads for engines in back of magazines, Craiglist, eBay, BikeTrader, CycleTrader, etc. Set up automated searched on these so whenever something new comes up, you'll get alerted.

Quick search on ebay finds these:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/134191900586
https://www.ebay.com/itm/303784773769
https://www.ebay.com/itm/394195489935

Make sure you're fully stocked up on complete set of metric tools. And get any special tools needed for various stages. Again, listed in manual.
