Default 2009 Repsol on order!!!

Just ordered a Repsol yesterday!!! It was origionally going to be delivered on Jan 16th but got pushed back toFeb 12th. I narrowed it down from a Ducati 1098 mainly because of service. The nearest Ducati service is two hours away. My buddy owns my Honda shop and is less than five mins away.
It was hard to pay two grand more than what I could have gotten a 2008 for!! If you are looking and don't care about the repsol edition it is a great time to buy an '08!

I would have been hard pressd to pass on the 1098, it is a very aggressive bike. I am not a Honda Guy or a Yamaha or a Suzuki guy im a Bike guy and if we had an aprillia or Ducati dealership here I personally would have bought the 1098 but good choice on the Rep edition bad *** bike as well.

You're gonna love the new bike. I have an '08 and it's still a pleasure to get on it everyday.

I'm not a Repsol fan so I'm keeping what I got till I have to change them. I'm glad they're still making it though.

I got the NON ABS model as ABS was only available in red/black. I have wanted a repsol edition for years so I will live w/o the ABS. I won't be riding in the rain or on too tight of twisties. I don't know that it is worth the money to buy the ABS. I have it on my BMW and really like it. I've used it several times in the rain and on the dragon. Critics say that you become use to ABS and start to rely on it. I agree. Made me a bit too self confident.
The wait is going to be painful. I can't ride it right away where I live but at least I could sit on it and drink beer in my garage!!!

I talked to my dealer buddy and he is willing to let them go for around $9300. That's in Northern Indiana. It's a real steal. The bike hasn't changed at all this year except for the color options.
