Unfortunately here in Korea we ALWAYS pay MSRP. The really sad part is I was all ready to buy a new CBR this year until finding out the price of the '09 went up from 14,900,000 KRW ($11,825 USD) to 18,500,000 ($14,682 USD) for the same bike with just new paint options... The C-ABS bike is 20,500,000 KRW ($16,269 USD) That's just the base price with no TTL. Keep in mind also the KRW is very weak right now so the base price of an '09 of 18.5 mil would have been $19,000 USD just over a year ago. That's just insane. Especially with a probable economic recovery just around the corner, which would put the exchange rate right back where it was, but bike prices will stay unchanged.

The only good part of the price hike is the resale of my current bike has actually gone up a bit in the last 1 1/2 years. In this odd market here, I should be able to pick up a used 08 next year for just a little more than my bike is worth.

They just want attention...

I'm willing to bet you will get your best deal toward the end of riding season and once we hear news of what the 2010 bikes updates will be. That or look around for a new leftover '08 bike.

I paid just under 11k out the door tax, title and reg. On my 08 left over. I didn't think that was to bad since it was late April when i bought it. Bad time of the year to get a great deal.

I think you did well if you got it out the door for that...I know the 08's have gone down to about $10,599 before tax and license in alot of dealerships here..April would be a good time because I'm expecting a tax return..Thanks for responding..Have fun

I got my 09, out the door, for $10K. Of course I know the dealer, Xtreme Powersports, Brandon, FL, and this is the thrid bike we purchased there. It is a small Honda only dealership that knows how to treat customers right. They have also made up for that in all the accessories purchased since then for the bike.

I bought my 08 in February for 10,300 out the door, that included the title tax and tags, before fees it was 9,599. I bargained quite a bit and got that deal. I got them to match the price that Southern Honda in Chattanooga Tenn. was offering. They are offering the 09's under msrp
