RE: 2008 cbr 1000 rr
someone that knows how to ride can school someone on a 1000 if the person on a 1000 doesnt know how to ride.. you can kill yourself just as easy on a 600 they're only a second slower in the quarter .. 600's still fly just as good as a k... 1000's rnt slow but niether are 600's if i could start over i'd start on a 1000 rather than my r6 to a 98 srad all done up to a 929 then a 1000... if you have enough brains you'll be fine on a 1000 as long as you dont crack on it till your use to the bike

Have you given any thought to the fact that newbies sometime make the mistake of twisting too much or purely by accident? I did it when I started. Seems to me, it'd be better to do that on something smaller that won't pull the front wheel as easily. You're right though. New 600's are almost as fast. However, one should avoid starting on one of those too.

stock 1000's are slow.. end of story... a 600 is just as fast as a 1000.. it all depends on how you play with your throttle
