RE: 2008 cbr 1000 rr
This bike handle like a bicycle, very light and responsive and FAST!!!!!!!
The exhaust really kicks in at 50 mph or 4000rpm but she makes you wanna go go go
For people who are concerned about the weight of the 2007 which i have also, this bike is a great choice.
New riders normally start off with the 600rr and then trade up to the 1000rr but with the 2008 it is a great choice for new riders.

I dont think a 1krr (not to mention the fastest yet) is a good choice for a new rider. Not even close.. sorry..

Been riding the 08 for about 5 days.I would NOT recommend this bike to new riders, period. this bike is all about throttle control. it is very much like a motogp bike in that sense. you only use heavy to 100% throttle a certain percentage of the time; any more than that and you just end up going slower overall or hurting yourself. ridden aggressively, this bike is totally bitchen. learning HOW to ride agressively while under control is best done on a dirt bike, or a street bike farther down the food chain. my 2 cents.
