From what i've heard Honda could care less about its looks, their focus is on coming out with a litre bike that will blow everything else away. Cant wait until March of next year to see if it bears fruit.

[:'(] Ugly.........But then again I remembered when the mighty Busa came out and thought it was ugly. Maybe Honda can wait 9 years for people to like this design.

All they had to do is stick headlights into the RC212V.

Took a look at the 08 and then purchased the 07 just because I did not like the exhaust on the new one. But I do like the integrated signals on the mirrors and the LED lights.

ORIGINAL: stunter411

what was honda thinking when they mad it?!?!?!
They were thinking "we want to win races ... to hell with the posers!"

ORIGINAL: CBR1000

I think they were thinking lets make a bike with the biggest, badest rear view mirrors of all time. Lets make them so big there as big as headlights. Yeah, that would be cool and everyone will want to buy them and they wont be able to take them off because then they will have no blinkers and get f'd with even more by the popo. Anyway, that's what I think they were thinking.
No they werethinking "onlyposers want to ride on the street without mirrors so we'll focus on the trackday crowd and kill two birds with one stone ... when you remove the mirrors you also remove the signals."

This thing is hideous....
Everything from other bikes I didn't like they went and put on the '08
Just like OneRedRider said:
R6 tail/mudflap/rear seat
GSXR Mirrors/Exhaust(with a plastic cover)
Ducati 1098/Kawasaki ZX-10 Nose
The sharp lines of the 06-07 is what hooked me and it is all gone now.(except the front fender)
Why the front/mid fairing makes a line going almost straight down is beyond me. Makes it look slow just sitting there!
Im sure the performance is going to be better but DAMN you still gotta be able to get the girl on the back!!! HAHA

This bike blows. The tail looksso retarded and the shortexhaust is stupid. Why are all new bikes being made with the short erexhausts? That makes the bikes look so stupid. I think the exhaust is one of the best looking features on any bike and when its made shorter it takes away the apeal of the bike. I've always liked hondas but after seeing this bike, -1 for honda.

My guess would be the short exhaust has lower back pressure or something else to help with performance.
