Whats up guys. I've got a question on an '07 1000 (Black with 1300 miles, original tires and no mods) i have been looking at. There is one local with a rebuilt title. The guy bought the bike new and wrecked it, bought it back fixed it and is looking to sell it. I saw pics of it after the crash and could not believe they totalled it, it was purely cosmetic. There are a few scratches on the swing arm and a slight one on the frame but nothing you'd see just walking by, he smoothed them out and repainted them. The bike runs and rides great. Hasnt been tested for a ****ed up frame but the damage wouldnt warrant anything serious, the plastics were just rashed. Anyway everything has been replaced expect the frame and swingarm. Hes sticking at $5500, anyone think thats a good deal/bad deal/about average? If you were to see the bike you wouldn't know it had been wrecked unless you got down and inspected it. Nothing is included with the sale except the parts taht came off. Please comment.

Anyone know if i could mount all this on a clean 600rr frame? Or how much it wold cost to put it on a clean 07 frame?

 

I would want to know the frame was solid before I bought it. If a reputable Honda tech says that the bike is clean, I think I would pay that price.Sounds in line with what a rebuilt title should get.

 

if the plastic are "smashed" cracked and broken then it went down hard on the side, if any thing on the tops are dented or scratched it might have flipped over,

but if it was just on one side and just scratched and cracked, then you should be fine just a low side slide. i bought my 06'this way but with a clear title, for $5600 and 1,800 miles so i would say your good to go on the price. i put like $500 into it and it is all new nothing to show it ever went down.
