Hi, name Kenny, first post.

Just got a new 06/RR and the dealer is trying to tell me that the seat brackets from 05 to 06 changed. Corbin can't tell me any different. Said they are waiting to get the bike in the shop.

Has anyone put a Corbin seat on their 06 yet.

From what I hear the bracket is the same from the 04-06 , the only difference is the 06 has different padding in the seat.

 

I compared my seat to my buddy's '05 Repsol and they were identical.

BTW, don't wait for Corbin to figure it out. They tell everyone that "we are getting a prototype in next week. keep checking back to site, we should have it available in the next couple of weeks." I waited about 6 mos for a new seat for the F4i last year and it didn't appear until this year.

 

I have an 05 model and tried a sargeant seat, but hated it. When I read that the 06 seat was softer, I bought one and it fit perfectly. That seat with heli bars is an awesome combination.

 

I have a corbin on my 05, was told the seat mounting is same as 06 model.

I have taken long rides +1,500 miles a love the corbin.

I've had my 06 cbr 1000 for a month now and its seat is startin to tick me off. Pushin me forward and hard to stay back. Anyone have some suggestions on some brands I can look at? Or if you have some pictures of seats on your bikes? Would love to see how they fit.

I have had 3 new bikes in the last 5 yrs and everyone has had a corbin put on it. I just love them, 1000 mile days done on them with no problem

I am taking the MSF course this weekend. Did class last night and riding for 6 hours today and tomorrow. I talked to the mechanic that was there and he said the same. Go with Corbin. They have quite a few models to choose from, like gel, special paddings that form to your buttox as well as custom specs for your @$$ size.

He said it'll be @ $300+. Does that sounds about right?

You wouldnt happen to have any pics of your seats would ya? Id deff like to check it out before gettin one....NM . Ill just check out their website and do some homework etc etc
