05Tribal.............

I also plan on going down to Southern Honda this April! I am driving down from CT though. I am also planning on getting the red/black one. Sucks we have to travel so far for a good deal. To bad we don't live closer and could drive down together.

How does $11,200.00 OTD sound? $11,600.00 with extended warranty. I live in Galveston, Texas and the Tax rate on a bike is 6.25%. I feel this is a good price since I've called other dealers and they say their not coming down off the MSRP list price at this time.

If you take Southern Powersports out of the picture I think $11,200.00 is fair, especially if like you say other dealers won’t budge off suggested retail. If it works out, buying from Southern Powersports that is, my "OTD" price should not be more than $10,412.50 after I title it and pay taxes here in OH. Southern Powersports still sounds too good to be true so I will be sure to let everyone know if or when it happens.

On another note, I would not get the extended warranty if I were you. In fact that would be an excellent poll to start to see just how many people have used their extended warranty.

Thanks for the reply 05Tribal. I did mention to my dealer that I was thinking about going to Lake Hill Motors in Mississippi. They sell the 06 for $10.000 OTD and you pay your State Tax. I just don't have the time to tavel due to my work schedule.

I feel ya in regards to finding time getting there. I really don't know how I am going to fit it in but I will find a way. The chance to show my local dealer the sales slip is fueling my desire to drive to TN as much as the savings.

$10,500.00 is a great price. I was quoted $11,000.00 OTD here in Ohio.

For what it's worth, you guys looking to buy a new scoot might want to try Montgomeryville Cycle Center in Pa. I used to live in NJ and made the two hour trip there to buy ALL of my stuff. Their prices were typically several hundred below retail before you even started to haggle. They sell all four brands and I remember some killer prices on their bikes.

I put a $200 "non refundable" deposit on a red and black 2006 CBR1000RR today. I quoted $9716 out "their" door which means I will still have to pay tax when I get it back to OH. At 6.75% that equals $10,372 rounded up. I am plannng on driving down this Thursday morning to pick it up and bring it back the same day. Anyone want to go with me?

I just picked up my '06 1000RR for 10,800. So, $500 off and no freight. It's a little off season, so that may have had something to do with it...
