Open class, that's close to the kind of price I am looking for. A reasonable % over dealer invoice including dealer holdback and bonus bucks. Where are you located?

And that's without tax correct? Can't be full OTD. By my calculation, 5% off their actual costs is $9603. They must make at least that before letting them go. Then there's tax we'd pay over that.

EDIT: Ok openclass. Their $8999 tag is a lie. The "freight" charge is a lie too. Because that is the same for all dealers and is included in their invoice price. According to you their price comes to $100 over their true ready to sell cost. They ring in at $9249.

Something's wrong with your info, because they're not going to just make $100 off their bikes. That's 1% =)

Btw honda bike. That's not a bad price. It's 5% profit for the dealer if you consider the stand is $100 bucks. That's the minimum a dealer will sell for. But they're making more than that. Some dealers sell '06 for $9000-9200 OTD, so they must get more money back from Honda on year old bikes (actually plus the bike was $200 less last year too). So they are profiting more from you, like 10%+ which is not the best deal. 7% is the max I am willing to dish out to a dealer. 4-5% is my starting negotiation point.
