is a 1k worth getting?
I was thinking about stepping up in bike sizes. I ride a 01 929rr and I have been riding it for 3 years now. I was thinking about getting a 1k rr I want to stay with the honda bikes "cuz we all know they're the best". How do you guys like your 1k's and should I get one for myself.

RE: is a 1k worth getting?
I had an 01 929 and sold it, then went without a bike for about 6 months, then got an 06 1000.
Honestly I do miss my 929 because of the fact that all my mods were done and I knew exactly what to expect from the bike itself.
I love the 06 but I am not as comfortable, mentally, on it yet. That probably doesn't make any sense...oh well.

I just came back from a ride and I can't wipe the grin off of my face.
I just put on some qualifiers about a week ago and I think I like the bike even more now, if that's possible.
If you want it, do it. Life's too short to not if you can afford it. My wife wasn't too happy with me getting the F4i and then when I moved up to the 1KRR, she was really apprehensive. But she's come around too. She sees how much I enjoy it.

Don't listen to Old Fat Guy, or look at the pics of his bike. If you do, you'll end up getting one for sure. At least I did anyway.

I love riding my CBR1000 and have no regrets about it. The only regret I have is that I wasted about a month trying to decide if I should or shouldn't get one. Also, it's my first bike, so a person with 3 years experience should love it all the more. Be Safe.

I just sold my '97 CBR 900RR and bought an '06 1000. I couldn't be happier. I couldn't beleivethe difference! I am sure you will notice less of a difference coming from a 929, but I have no doubt that you will be happier on a 1000! There wasn't even much of a change in insurance cost. I also think it is one of the sexiest CBR's ever made!
