1000rr seat?
I hear that the seat is really bad (hard etc). Is it worse than other sport bikes or about the same?
Does anyone have a different seat? Corbin, Sargent or any other makes.
Any info.................?

I'm not comparing to any, I'm just going by what I have meen told by a couple of Honda & non-Honda (but all sportbike) riding people.
I had a Z1000 with a seat custom done, re-padded & covered so I know the 1000rr will not be like that. If it is no worse than most other 600 / 1000 sporties then it's all good.
I did not really fancy paying out $250-300 for a Cobin/Seargent when I can get my mate to do me another one for under $40

I disagree. While non of the sportbikes have luxurious seats, the seat is the worst part about my bike for traveling any distance. Any time I ride any of my friends bikes for any distance, you can really tell how much these seats suck. My buddies R1 feels like a cadillac compared to mine as does my wifes ZX6R.
I cant comment on aftermarket seats as I havent ridden any, but for stock to stock, I would say Honda's have themost uncomfortableseats of any of the manufacturers.Although, it does allow you do switch side to side really easy for cornering which is good.Im not sure if the hardness of the seat, or if its more the shape. but either way, they are very uncomfortable if you plan on going distances with it. But then again, these bikes werent made for cruising.

I do iron butt rides that last 8 hours at a time, the seat is only a problem for po0sies. It's a sportbike, your butt should be hanging off of the side of the seat, or moving over it for the next turn not sitting ON it.
A few weeks ago I did 14 hours in 2 days and my butt wasn't too sore, what really started hurting was my hand from clutching (I was mostly riding in the mountains) and my hips and thighsfrom gripping the tank. I guess I had a bit of chafing on the inside of my butt cheecks (lol) from moving side to side too. If you keep changing the position its not that bad.
I think its kinda all relative. I ride my bike a lot. Rarely does a day go by where I don't at least take a quick little spin somwhere, anywhere, just to ride it.
That being said, riding daily like that, na, it's not bad at all. But if we have a long rain stretch, or long ice stretch and I dont get to ridefor a couple weeks straight, then finally get to ride, yeah, I will get some saddle sore after an hour or two. But just dont think about it and its all good. Mind over matter! Haha, I try anyways, but yeah it'll still be sore some.
