i've read about some glitches (popping out of gear, not moving up or down on first tap) from bike and sport rider and one source here. that has made me wary of purchasing this early or until honda makes a correction (slipper clutch, gear spacing???). can those of you with the 08 and at least 800 miles testify to this or the absence thereof? thanks, george from athens, ga

 

900 miles including a trackday and never had even one shifting issue. every shift has been fine and it is getting smoother every ride. i shift sometimes w/o the clutch, including high speed redline shifts and all seems fine.

1300 miles and all is well. i think whomever is starting this "shifting issue" rumor is just trying to throw some mud at the new model. i bet they are a fan of other brand.

 

Yeah that's it, the motorcycle magazines are just making stuff up because they hate Honda.
