I guess they can do both at once.

well i called about it today. it isnt a "recall" it is an update. basically replaces all of the springs in the clutch. no big deal, they are just making it more reliable. i plan on waiting a while before i have them do mine so i get more life out of them.

Default Clutch Basket

My informant (who works at Honda in the OC) said it's an updated clutch basket. Supposed to be smoother shifting and longer life.

Yep its suppose to make the clutch last longer. I guess the way it is currently wont last 10k from what my dealer says. Some bike were having trouble going into 6 gear so this is suppose to fix that to.

I just got back from having mine done. The service guys tell me that this is an entire new clutch - basket, friction disks and metallic disks.

New clutch is great, but old one was too. Hard to tell any difference - especially with my clutch lever adjusted a little differently. It may be feel slightly more stiff at the clutch lever - hard to say.
