I just think Honda screwed up the styling and they will quickly fix that pugnose by the time the 09's come.

Honda is not going to change anything after one year. The pattern is minor revisions after two years and new bikes after four.

I'd love the 1000 if it was an enlarged 600. It's not. The front view is gross. The nose is smashed in. They did away with the undertail even though weight saving metals could have done away with the weight issues from it. Some will buy either way but I hope that Honda cuts losses and redoes the plastics for 09. I'm sure performance is killer and the blacked out items are sweet, but I wouldn't buy one if I had the cash.

a) My point, that you totally missed, was the technology and performance aren't a dramatic departure, but if you're trying to say the styling is JUST LIKE the 07, well... you are a tard.
b) You show YOUR ignorance in not knowing the reasons why the Repsol editions were made. Your point is they will likely make one every two years.
Wrong.
Per a Honda website:
With such a vociferous following—and infused as it is with the MotoGP-bred racing technology to back it up—it was only natural that the CBR1000RR Fireblade be selected as the ideal model to commemorate Repsol Honda’s strong partnership, and the strong showing of its MotoGP racing machines during the exciting 2006 Motorcycle Grand Prix season in which they captured both the Team and Constructors’ Titles.
So I think winning in 2006 made a difference in their choice to have an 07 Repsol edition.
As for the 2005? That was to commemorate 10 years of sponsorship with Honda MotoGP by Repsol. You probably didn't know that either. I could school you all day because I have the ability to learn and use Google. What's your excuse for making **** up?
So to recap - in 05 they did it to commemorate 10 years since 1995. In 07 they did it for the 2006 season, ala Nicky Hayden.
Therefore it's not too far a stretch to figure in if Nicky (or even Pedrosa) had won this season, we'd have an 2008 Replica - albeit a FUGLY one.
C) I'm aware of Honda's schedules for design changes. I made an opinion that people are so up in arms about the 08 that they'll likely change it for 09. It's a guess. But there's nothing wrong with making such a claim on forums.
Finally,
Since you so quickly called me out, you have a lot to learn about treating others with respect for their opinions on something as simple as a message board. I may be new to this forum, but I've been a member to several enthusiast forums around the net and there's a word for people like you.
Trolls.
Good day.

So why not go back to those forums that you came from Doc? Did they not like you thereeither? For being new to a forum, you sure know how to **** people off pretty quickly. My advice to you...stick to only tech questions. Your general questions and comments come off sounding pretty condescending. Keep it real...and don't try to sound like Dr. Phil. It's not working for you!!!! [sm=lame.gif]

You act like you own the place because why? You've been a member how long? YOu have what? 70 posts? Wow.
I'm impressed and I totally see why you feel you can speak for everyone in here. <----- Google sarcasm.
I joined June of 06 and you joined last month.
Oh ... Wait.... You just got your bike a few days ago! [sm=chairshot.gif][sm=bustedsign.gif] Bwahhahahahahahah
So... you got all excited to come in here with your 70 post count and a brand new membership to the forums and your new bike with the dealer tag still on and then you want to get on ahigh horse with me?!?!
[&:]Don't be thinkin' so.
I think your time would be better spent reading your owners manual of you brand new bike you just bought and maybe riding some and getting some experience rather than coming in here and getting owned by the likes of me.
I've kept rented videos overdue longer than you've owned your bike or been a member here, so why don't you crawl back up into your hole and come out when you get your dealer tag off??
Now I hope you've learned a good lesson in getting involved in things that are over your head. Don't reply or Flame on me further, as you've already been owned to the point that any more from you in this or other threads will no doubt result in a further smackdown. Bye Bye now.
Next?
Will someone that's been a member longer than 2 weeks tell CBR1000rider whats up?
I've been a lurker / reader since June 2006 and this jokester with the new-car smell on his tires wants to start ****?

Listen Chucky Boy! I don't give a sh*t how many posts I have on here or how long I have been a member. I have made more posts in the the few weeks that I have been a memeber than you have made since 2006. What does that tell you? I know how to articulate a conversation in a meaningful and respectful way. Do you want a Bozo Button for the length of time you have been a member? I am not here to get in a pissing match with you. You will not win!!! I am not speaking for anyone else, but myself. My opinion is...you do not know how to talk to people. PERIOD!!!! Just my opinion. You know what they say, "Opinions are like a**holes...everybody has one". My advice to you is ...DON"T BE ONE!!!!!
As far as the length of time I have owned my '07 CBR. You stand to be corrected. Itis not a few days, but a few weeks (11-27-2007 to be exact). Get it right man!!! LOL. Yes my bike is new (And I'm loving it), but I have owned more bikes and have been riding longer than you can think about. By the way....I got my plates in the mail yesterday!!!! No more dealer tags...I guess I am no longer a virgin (that was a pretty gay comment you made about the tags by the way). If you think you own me brother...think again. I can go round and round with you, but I am better than that. Besides, readers on this forum don't really care to see a pissing match. Who would? We arehere to talk about bikes. As far as the owners manual...I alreadyskimmed throughit, but thanks for caring. Now go ride your bike into a wall or something. [sm=shutup.gif]
