Default 08 1000rr looks

I'm in the market for a new bike and in all aspects of performance the new CBR1k is in the lead for my next ride. But damn that front nose. it's so fugly. I'm a huge MotoGP fan and I totall dig the tail and the exhaust. but that damn nose...yesterday I went into a local shop because I read here that it was better in person...I walked in and was pleasantly surprised...only to be bummed when I realized I was looking at the 600, not the 1000RR.

So if I did get the 08 RR, would the prospect of modifying a 07 nose to fit be out of the question? should I just wait to see if Honda hears the critics and changes the 09's?

Heck yea you should wait! the 2008 CBR 1000 RR is a major disapointment to the eyes. If I know Honda like I think I do they will reallize they have made a huge mistake with that front section and correct it within the next two years. I think if you buy one now you could really regret it.

Agreed ! 2008 LOOKS FAB ! Honda sacrificed a lot of time in a wind tunnel to make this bike aero dynamic as much as it is now. You gotta look at this bike as a Whole. Not just the front or tail section. You may not like some parts on this motorcycle, but to acheive the ridding and performance improvements the front has to look like this and so does the tail and the 2 sides For example I don't like the ideal of cable clutch ! It's retro ! Been there, done that, but they put it on to save - 1lb. Weird to me, since hydro is so much more better and safer. Harder to pull, yes,but betta.
2008 CBR1000RR is more aero dynamic then any other bike out there. I spoke w/ ppl (customers) who currently have the 06 and just bought the 08 and they say the ride is so much comfortable, agile and agressive then the older bikes. Look ppl, I want this mother****ing bike mmmmmkay ? I shall wait , while some problems do come out with time for the Stealers to fix it before they sell it. I was strongly considering the 07, but after a cpl of visits to the dealer's and comparing the 2 machines I changed my mind. I bet many ppl where in a same state of mind of indecision when the All New 2004 came out. What do you say ?

Might ride like nothing else, but its still the ugliest bike Honda has made in the last 10 or so years.

and that's the problem I'm having. I'm coming from an R1...sorry to say but the R1's look a lot better than the CBR thisyear. I love the technology the new CBR has and everything about the bike except the front. But it's got a butterface. it's a hot chick who's face is ugly...can't look at the face, justkeep looking at the legs and keep it dark. Every time I look at that nose I go "yahhh". Too bad because the 2007's are gorgeous. Hense my question about modifying a nose from a 2007 onto the 2008.

personally, i think the looks of the 08 are great. i mean, whenever the hayabusa came out, people were critiziting its stylingbut now its one of the most iconic motorcycles ever. plus, it kinda grows on you the more and more you see it...

Im going to say that its not possible. The "fugly" front end has to do with the ram air system. But maybe it could.
I love the bike from front to back.

Hey if we all liked the same thing there would be a lot of single people and a lot of unridden bikes and single people in the world. If you dont like it dont buy it, I love it I have one, I saw it fell in love with it and bought it. End of my sermon for this Sunday service.
