Default 05 cbr1000rr

About a month ago I purchased a 05 blade that wasnt in the best of conditions as it was neglected and left outside. I picked it up for a bargain and decided to clean her up..

I’ve recently resprayed the frame over, painted all the footpegs, painted all the engine casings, put new rear discs and pads on, new tyres, painted the rims over, given her a proper service and the list goes on and on... i still need to assemble the rear brakes, fit my shorty levers when they arive and then put everything else back together.

its been a fun process and also frustrating with the bike standing after a weekend of perfect riding weather, but all the effort will be rewarding once she is complete (which is hopefully in afew days!

here are afew pics of my progress so far..

let me know what u guys think

Progress update:

spent some time this evening putting the fairings back on, all thats left to do is the wiring for the indicators and a good wash! Hit a little snag along the way as one of the pipes under the tank (i think the breather pipe) got pinched when putting the tank back on so had to take the tank off again and freed up the pipe but other than that it was smooth sailing! She is finally getting there!

here are some pics of how far she is now

Just a quick update as to what else ive done. I ordered some shorty levers from china and received them today, i must say they are not bad... the quality of them is pretty good and they fit perfectly! Took me about 10min to put them on.
