My 07 CBR 1000 motor is fried I have an 05 motor can I just drop it in or will the wiring harness or ECU not work properly? What would I need to do?

So I posted this a few days back and still no response? How is it possible that no one has to have done this at some point? A little about myself OK I’m 52 years old I’ve been riding bikes my whole life I work part time as a mechanic at the local beta dealer here in New York Putnam County. I’ve got a 96 ZX7 , And 09R1 but I got this bike recently with A locked up motor and I had access to An 05 motor But everything that I see seems to point out that there are some ECU issue and cam pick up issues. I Have seen all of the other articles on people switching there 05 motor for an 07 but not vice versa and that’s my problem right now
