hi everyone,
im new to hondas and this forum. im tradin my gsxr600 in tomorrow and picking up a 1000rr. my dealer has dozens of them in stock. they have 05's for 9568.97 otd and 9868.97 otd. my question is- does the 06 really out perform the 05 that much better? which would you get? i kinda like the looks of the 05 better.

 

Get the '06

I bought a 06 without regret, but i do like the 05 and always will, its sort of like the old 96 smokin joes F3 i still like thoses bikes. But dont give that for the 05 make a offer of like 8000 or less cause i can get an 06 for 8700 otd. If your heart is on a new 05 then buy it and ride it and dont worry. BUY THE 05 if it will make you happy

 

When I bought my '05 I had two choices, get the '05 Repsol $12K even OTDand an '06 around $11k OTD(this was 2 years ago right when the '06's came out). I bought the '05 Repsol, even though I heard that the '06's were a bit more powerful and it was cheaper. I mean, how much power do you really want? Unless, you're Hayden or something then yeah but I doubt i'm even going to be able to reach my bike's full potential. Also, I like the look of the '05 more even though thedifferences are not that significant. Get what YOU want, I know you'll be happy with either one of them.

 

the dealer is asking too much for both the 05 and the 06 IMO
but if i was buying tomorrow i'd get the 06

 

06 is lighter and a better perfoming bike, with alot of upgrades. The price for the 05 is too high also. You will get more than the 300 dollars you are saving at trade in or selling time too.
