Ok what's up guys been a while since I have been on here
04 1000rr just cranks smells like gas pump primes and I have spark put new plugs in it and still nothing, bike is tore down checking everything I am at a loss. All I did was put a new stator cover and took the clutch apart and put a factory pro shift star in and new plates and fiber and had my new clutch cover on went to start it just cranks . I changed the sensor out on the clutch cover still nothing. Unhooked the pc5 still the same.

Sounds like the same problem I have. Broke down on the road 600km from home Yesterday.

Bike dead, swings but no spark/fuel clocks are on but pcv says it has no power. Disconnected the pcv but still nothing.

Turns out i popped a small fuse next to the main fuse under my seat near the battery and main fuse. It is a 20amp in a small holder.

I changed it and popped again after 5km. Not sure what it is but may control the fuel and PCV somehow.

 

I just checked the manual, it's my FI fuse but the FI light didn't come on to indicate the problem.

Check if yours is not fused.
