04 1000rr

Hey guys, about to do a compression test on my 04 cbr1000rr. Just want to know if anyone knows what the psi in each cylinder is supposed to be. Thanks for the help.

Try Stephy G's CBR F4i Page and download the manual :)

The specs on an '08 1000RR is 174 psi at 210 rpm. I don't know if the '04 is much different. The engine was redesigned in '08.

It depends on if you test it dry or wet. Dry testing usually nets lower psi readings. Elevation can also affect your reading. the higher your elevation is from sea level, the less psi you'll read on your gauge. Example, a psi reading of 150 at sea level would be around 120 psi at 6,000 feet above sea level. So be careful when taking into consideration psi readings.

The most useful thing about the psi guage is measuring the percentage difference between the cylinders. Generally, they should all fall within 10 percent of each other.
