hey everyone i need to know wether or not 06 1000RR fairings could fit on a 04-05 1000RR ? do you know if the 06 fairings are wider or thiner ? do they share the same mounts ? anyone ever try this ? lol basically im having trouble finding 04-05 fairings but alot of 06 and im not wanting to mess up and buy the wrong ones hoping that they will fit. thanks for your help !

check on 1000rr.net someone did what you want and did a entire write up with a parts list and all,very detailed thread.But from the looks of it,it is very involved.There is much better info over there

 

I doubt they'll fit. But, check it out for yourself.

Oh yeah, that's an '07 and I think it's the same as the '06 fairings.

YES,but like i said it is very involved and you need alot of the 06 parts and have to do alot of relocatiing of the 04-05 components,againsearch on1000rr.net!!

 

You know Havoc after compairing the 05 repsol kit and the pic of the 07 it doesn't look that different.. other than the crank case cover being different it seems pretty much the same.... However i don't know the Tail will fit, and the upper cowling will fit, and it seems the 06 mids MAY bolt up to a 04-05 on top but on the bottom where it meets the lowers it totally different.....


The reason we ask is that i did wreck my bike and i have a guy locally that will sell me the whole 06faring kit OEM for 850.. and i don't have to ship it anywhere.... if i could find some 04-05 farings for 850 shipped i would do that too it prob would be eaiser but finding some one will be a problem....
