Someone posted a question on Yahoo answers regarding our bikes. and none of the answers he received were entirely satisfactory. I wanted to give him some accurate info, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to post an answer to his question. Anyone know how to do this? The link to his question is here.

RE: Yahoo Answers
Hey Everyone! I got Harry_T_Hamster's email and figured I would get on here and post my question. Here it is my question:
I'm looking at a 1994 Honda CBR1000 Hurricane. My problem is I don't remember there being any Hurricanes in the94' model line-up. I thought that name ended in the late 80's. If anyone knows what I'm actually looking at(since I can't find anything anywhere else on the internet) please reply to this thread.

RE: Yahoo Answers
Technically, the first generation CBR1000F's, model years 1987 and 1988, were the only models labeled by Honda as Hurricanes. There was no CBR1000F in 1979, at least not in the US. The second generation 1000F model was released in 1990 without the Hurricane moniker, but it shared the same engine as the earlier Hurricane model but with different body work and a fatter rear tire. The third generation was introduced in 1993, again with the same engine, but revised bodywork and Honda's linked braking system. This model was sold in the US through 1996 and, I believe, through 1999 in Europe and elsewhere. So while a 1994 CBR1000F is not really a Hurricane, it's not uncommon for people to refer to them as Hurricanes since it shares the same engine and model number as the earlier Hurricanes.
