Wont start when hot, slow crank like battery dead but not dead
UPDATE:
So I went riding the other day.
1. 50 mile ride to destination
2. Bike sits for 30 minutes, immediately starts
3. Go 500 feet to bank #1
4. Bike sits for 5 minutes, immediately starts
5. Go 1 mile to bank #2
6. Bike sits for 5 minutes, slow crank, battery seems dead, wont start
7. Roll bike down hill and drop into gear, starts immediately
I went straight home. Then kept testing the starter after I got home, to repeat the condition, couldn't get it to happen again...
With this, is it for sure the Starter Damper? Starter Clutch? The Battery?

I have the hard starting thing when it's hot. It does not sound anything like that video shadow posted. It sounds like the battery is almost dead. If you let it cool awhile(10 min) it will start just fine. I have suspected it is just a weak started motor as I had the same problem in a 1968 Chevy Nova same symptoms even.
Do we just have to throw money at it? I lost my JOB last summer, I need this bike to SAVE money over the summer =(
I just ordered a start relay, maybe its corroded inside? I will try it and see what happens...
Check the earth on your frame where ever you have one, especially on the ignition circuit. Maybe corroded or loose.
Starter relay also a good idea...................

Well done on the up-date Hawkman! Even if it is a couple of years late
Good to know the Motobatt battery worked it's magic. These old girls do need a good jolt of juice to fire them up.
