Default Windshield solutions ..

I'm catching some major wind on my 1000F - it may very well be related to my height (6'3"), but has probably more to do with the fact that I'm having the stock windshield on my CBR.

Are there any double bubble solutions still available? What are you using to overcome the challenge on long(er) tours?
Any home made solutions? Maybe a picture or two?

The standard screen's a problem even for us "shorter "guys (I'm 6'0")
There are any number of screens available for these bikes, from Puig to MRA.
Try this for a start:

(some guys have had fitment issues with them, so be careful)
England's a great place to look - I got mine on e-Bay UK used for a total of 40 pounds with postage !

Thanks Shadow!
They have quite some options, none of them has a "lip" to get the air over my head, which is initially what I'm after.

I found this, while looking around for a solution:

Not particularly the best or most beautiful way to get it done, but it seems to work for this guy. (here's the full site: http://foodman123.com/cbr.htm)

I suppose if someone were to produce a fitting solution with a lip, it would be helpful. ...before i have to buy some lexan and try it myself

Gustaffson make one 10" taller than standard - I think the one on Tony Dillworth's bike looks awful (foodman)

I agree, it looks awful, it's a bit of a hackjob.
However, it got me thinking and looking for an actual solution (in one piece) with a lip to get the air over my head rather than my chest or frontally into my helmet. Unfortunately, I haven't come up with a vendor yet.

There are previous discussions on this - check the history.
Also, send a PM to Flogger - he has/had one with an ADJUSTABLE lip that he thought highly of. (he's 6'4")

With the openings in our fairing letting air flow up on the inside of our windscreens, I don't think those flip-up lips on the top will improve airflow. It will probably create turbulence. With the stock screen, the wind hit me at my neck and went under my helmet. I bought a sport touring screen from Zero Gravity. It is the same shape as stock, but 4 inches taller. That moves the airflow to the top of my helmet.
