This bike I bought about a month ago has a few issues an I am wondering do any hoses connect to under the gas tank and where do they run to.

I know when i lift my tank as you have done there are no hoses connected in the middle of the tank as the photo would suggest.
I have just started a service so will take note tomorrow when i lift the tank to do the plugs.

I'm pretty sure one of those "hoses" is actually the wire from the fuel level sender unit

Nope - the little nipple fits into a recess in the top of the carbs as an overflow.
Leave it be and all will be well :)

All looks fine.

Hey:

Your missing the fiberglass heat mat that goes under the tank #13 in fiche. Handy in the hot WX we have been having lately. You can make one from Hot water tank wrap/auto sun screen mat (dollar store) the two flex tabs in pic hold it on ( oops just notice one is broken off double sided tape will work on the right side), just cut to fit under the tank, just cut out for hoses and such, it reflects the engine heat away, it helps with fuel evaporation so you may get more miles from your tank. You can run a hose from the small nipple to thru the swingarm area to remote that vent, just make sure its kink free. The other larger one is the fuel overflow vent as stated above, no hose on it.
