When I tour:

I have a tool wrap with small wrenches in 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, 19mm, 1/4" drive socket kit with the same sizes and a small ratchet w/ small handle ext. for leverage if needed, an adjustable big enough for axles, a multi-tip screwdriver, test light, fuses, shrink wrap, a lighter, several feet of wire, zip ties, some safety wire, crimp connectors, solder and a butane soldering torch, and a box cutter.

Loose in the side pockets of the tank bag I have a tire pressure gauge, bigger zip ties, small roll of duct tape, electrical tape, a decent pair of dikes, (2) small flashlights, tire repair kit w. CO2 cartridges, JB Weld, a small pair of safety wire pliers, small tube of goo (silicone adhesive), a pair of vise grips, and some other misc. stuff. I've never had to use most of this stuff, but I've used some of it a couple of times, and most of it at least once for someone else.

Oh, and I pack as Canyon Dancer and (2) long tie-downs in the bottom of my trunk to facilitate easy towing if it ever comes to that. I've used this stuff a couple of times for others...(knock wood) haven't had one poop out on me yet.

This thread is amazin' , though I may ride for 150-200 miles , I've never strayed more than 60-70 miles from home ( I ride in big circles)

My 'get me home kit' consists of an 'AA' membership card and a mobile phone

I can see , if I'm ever gonna progress to riding in straight lines , I need to redress the omission!

Seriously , It's really nice to be able to 'pick the brains' of experienced riders to see what sort of thing to take on a long trip and even stash on the bike for 'every day use!' Great thread!
Thanks Guys

The one that could only make left hand turns to go anywhere ya daft shyte.

Hand Cuffs are Okay with me depending on how they're been used
as for the separators, Sawnee says the bridge of yer nose seems to
work perfectly everytime.....................:icon_te eth:

And Trout's been practicing that move too lately he's got a wicked
tan line on his schnoz

That is almost exactly what I take. It is a Honda for F-sake. It is not a H-D. The only modifications to Sprockaholic's list that I can suggest is, you need a credit card to be able to use the rubbers and drop the KY and use the chain lub instead. LOL
