Your '94 is set up like mine. As CBR1988 pointed out above, "122 mains and pilots are either 40 or 42". Those are to small for the setup and the addition of ethanol. A couple of post back (#8) I supplied a link to a site for jets at the best price. The jet calculator had us at 130-mains & 42-pilots w/2-shims for K&N and slip-on for Moderate Modification.

Because I wanted to increase fuel to make the adjustment for e-gas I went with 135-mains & 45-pilots w/1-shims for K&N and slip-on for Heavy Modification.

Also, with carbs out for re-jetting, the air/fuel screw needs to be turned out 2 1/2 turns. You will need the 'D' shaped tool. Mine were 2 turns so I had to come out 1/2 turn on each carb.

The 2-shim recommendation was to much so I took one out leaving just 1-shim in and it works great.

I had a lean stumbling problem at take off. Problem solved.

The stick coils are icing on the cake. They really smooth things out and provide a nice hot spark to light off the proper air/fuel mixture.

thanx Dub. yeah, i finally found the spec in the fsm and then googled the manufacturer. surprisingly nowhere in the manual does it state they are Keihin.
Tim carbjetkits.com says to put in 130 mains and 42 slow and 2 washers for the needle in their kit, but doesnt say what brand they supply. id like to replace the oem jets with Keihin. what brand jets do they have in their kits?
i have a K&N filter in oem air box and a 4/1 Two Bros slip on where 2 of the 4 oem pipes are corked off with some kinda seal and the other has a TB's pipe then the muffler. is that a slip on or called something else?

Like I said, exactly what I have. TB slip-on with left side plugged, stock air box with K&N.

I don't know what brand they supply but they are great fit. Also note that I said that they recommend 130-mains with 2-shims. I went with 135-mains and 1-shim to account for the e-gas. Mine runs great and recommend that setup.

You can shop around but you will not find jets for that price and they work fantastic.

Hey:

Awesome recs there TBT, great advice from somebody that has the same setup is hard to find. You can't get any better than that... BTW keihin Jets are good and so are the ones TBT recs. Those are very good aftermarket replacements and the price is what 1 replacement Keihin jet would cost, from the dealers. With no diff in performance.

^ I'd attest to that - my carbjet.com kits were all 100%

my bike does run great w/stock carb setup and moderate mod, but im lookin for another winter project. i was thinking of staying with the 130main 42slow, cause the 135/45 seems like a poss big jump from stock. so would u suggest i install the 2 washers from the moderate mod kit and see how it throttles off line. im thinkin the removal of the 1 washer was probably because of the 45 slow jet. what do u think cause i think im starting to confuse myself. im just not wanting to pull the carbs more than once, if thats even poss, haha
