I found that excessive 10,000rpm use used to send me back in time , allot of the time..
I'm going back , way back , back , to my" L's" (learners plates) after my full lic was canceled for speeding
I was about 34 years old when I finally got my full license..... I used to time travel allot!!!! :-)

Only one problem. Your pic shows that your tach is running about 1200 RPM higher than it should, but it should show that your tach is running about 1200 RPM low. 100 MPH should have your tach reading above 6000, rather than the 5000 you say it does. By the way, it's time for a fillup.

Yep last one was a long trip so last fill up was lots of miles ago heh.
I get what you mean about the difference and forgot to explain, that's because I connected it to the positive wire, but it should go to the negative wire of the coils, will have to correct it, but the difference is still 1000rpm, like everyone said.

There:

It's 2500rpm for 2000 on the analog, and 6000 for 5000, that means closer to the redline the error could be around 1500rpm or more.
I guess this is a very rare issue with the tachometer, I only heard of this on another 1000F once before.
