Hi fast1000f
As far as the scrape thing goes ..
I do not find that these rides scrape very easilly.
(I know a few maniacs in here will laugh at that statement) but not all of us like replacing fairings and exhausts regularly [8D]
It totally depends on ALL the conditions .
what tyres you run (profile width ect )
what air preasure you run in the front end
the type of load the bikes under ( heavy braking or not )
weight on the bike (pillion or not?)
rear spring and rebound settings ( on your bike )
camber and condition of the road
On my CBR1000F I find that I scrape the peg stops first (rarely too) , with a built in warning that its gunna happen ..... I ride with my toes pointed slightly out and down[:-] that gives me a clue as to how far I have to go ...
( I do not advocate this as something everyone should do because I have clipped my toes bad a few times on holes and cats eyes )
I have though hit the under mufler cover a few times with a pillion on board when the corner has a few dips in it...
So I think my advise would be ... like me , avoid scraping any bloody thing if you can
If your over that far mate ...slow down !!! or practice a different riding style [8D]
You need to try yourself and test your bike setup , very carefully

My exhaust covers scrape first. My hero pegs have never hit tarmac.
Not a good feeling.......[X(]

The sound of my muffler cover grinding up the road does not do much for me either Shadow1...
A horrible sound [sm=forgetit.gif]

I had a CB750F that I removed the center stand due to touching. I use to grind the side cases on that bike with the pegs folded up grinding away.
I believe that once the pegs touch, I will be taking a trip through the tulips.
I have NO chicken strips left on the rear tyre (Michelin RP2) - bike sticks solidly - no slide at all - what tyres are you using TBT ? Hard compounds ? I hit my exhaust shrouds in a moment of madbess, with BT020 tyres.....
Normal 0 I am using Metzler Z6 Roadtech because of all the rain here. They also work great in cold weather. It gets down to 50°F (10°C) at night. I can’t keep a sport tire on for more than one month. The front eats them up. I trust a tire to slide and have me hook it up again rather than have it squirt out. It does bother me not to have the lean angle indicators touch. I would like to find the sweet spot as a reference. I have a TB slip-on. I can’t get anything to touch when the bike is at full lean (with the Roadtech tire). I am damn close as I keep my left foot above the shift lever and I smoke my soles off with toes curled.
