You could try running it on old chip oil if you like, but I'd have some kind of oil in it,yes
Probably smell like a McDonald's burger going down the road, or an English chippy.....

OK so let's see if I understand this "extra virgin" oil
sooooo you run it for a while, and it's maybe gonna lose "some" of it's virginity....
and then the second virginity takes over..........
IMO - it's either clean and new, or it ain't......
Never met any women who were "extra virgins" - although some said they were.....hehe
It may interest you that they threw a Honda Cub off a building, then filled it with chip oil (old chip oil) and , of course, being a Honda, it ran perfectly.

Thanks anyway guys but I'll stick to Castrol. Its never let me down and my bikes all seem to work well with it. Yes its expensive but when I consider the cost of premature wear I'll stick with what I'm doing. Like I said I dont know anything about Rotella but I cant see the sense in taking shortcuts with engine oil. Even at 50 bux for 4 litres its still a cheap investment in engine life.

With the oil I got at the auction is works out at $32 for four litres which is bugger all anyway. But asI always say. Each to their own !
