What do you try to keep your rpm at when cruising in town?

 

I found that 3,000rmp it be a power mark
I could cruise around under but good power acceleration would require a gear change,
Above would allow me to accelerate well with a twist

at 4,000rpm in 6th gives me 105km/h, does that matches people running standard gearing
I think it's a little high and would like to hear from people who run different gearing and whether they are happy with what they have got?

 

I'll report as soon as I change my front sprocket to 18 teeth from OEM 17.
Mine is an '88 1000cc too.
