Default What is this?

Hi there , can anyone identify this for me? It's located on the left hand side of my bike just below the centre of the saddle and just above the left hand air intake.

There's one plastic pipe runs toward the front of the bike and another , which you can see easily in the picture , that heads down toward the swing arm , might be some sort of drain?

That almost looks like a Scott-Oiler. Same clamp and tube setup

AH-HA. The tube leading to the front is to tie into the carb intake and the other tube leading down to the swingarm is for the oiling of the chain by the front sprocket. If I can find the pics I took, I'll post'em up

Bang on! malbojah , well done mate! You know I thought it might be a scott-oiler but the tube doesn't reach all the way down to the chain .

I wonder if I can get it working , does it need special oil? and I presume the down tube should reach all the way to the chain so oil doesn't blow all over the rear wheel as you ride along

You can order the oil from Scott Oiler, or I've heard that chain saw bar oil works just as well (and a lot cheaper)

Thanks for the tip malbojah , will need to get the end bit of tube that goes down to the sprocket allong the swingarm as well , but I think you can order all the spares from scottoiler ( had a look on their website ). Will have a poke around on the bike today see if anything else is missing.

yea defo a scotoiler, but i would consider moving it so it sits vertically, there will be a small plug at the top towards the end that says how much oil is delivered, thats the filling hole.
as for oil, chainsaw is good, but its not a lot from scottoiler.

scottoiler sell loads of parts, check the bay, as i picked up a few bits and bobs off there, i personaly love them and will be looking for the latest kit for my cbr.
