what the *^&% $^%$
trying to get them to stay together (at the seam) had a plastic clip break (repaired) whats the deal on this ??? just dont look right. any help suggestion would be great
HD GUY .......you have to get the bottom two to slide "latch" together first man.
The left (gear shift side) slides forward to engage the right , right in front of the
oil pan at the very bottom "nose".
Then you button her up with plastic rivets up to the top
Relax Brother ......
..... do it a few times and .....it'll be second nature to you ...

You'll get good at fairing installs and uninstalls once you do it 2-3 on your bike. The dumb fasteners, clips, wellnuts, and tabs are one of the cons of Asian bikes(having them, getting them, using them). One of the pros to a harley I guess, not nearly as many fasteners. Fairings will protect your engine, frame, and the vitals inside though-pro.
