Default Welding

As we all know these old girls have sensitive electrics. I am hoping to do some welding on the bike (87) in the near future. Other than the normal disconnect battery & alternator, are there any other items I need to be aware of?

I think a few fireworks would be fun. Brings back memories of my old landcruiser. I set that on fire three times in one day. Finished up with no roof lining.
Seriously though I am hoping to do some exhaust mods & will need to tack weld it while in position.

No once was not enough [:@]. I like the look of thick black smoke coming out of my pride & joy. Just because the roof was like swiss cheese & I was trying to fix it. The gods of humor obviously needed a giggle at my expense. I still drove it for three years all burnt & black till I bought a new vehicle but just don't seem to be able to part with the cruiser. I giggle about it these days as it's a great talking point.
Thanks for the response & I like the idea of earthing the bike to the shed. Last thing I want is to cook anything.

Of course by earthing it to the shed, you can then burn the bike and the shed down together....
