Default To tune or not to tune?

My bike just hit the 24k mark on the dial and although I was going to change the oil/filter I was told the other year by a Honda mechanic that 24k was the major service interval for this model.
Now I only recently changed the coolant, air filter, battery, plugs and brake oil. Does it need a major service regardless? It's running fine... but i don't want the valves to go 'ping' or something bad to happen... (I am not very mechanically skilled)

Hey Coopz,

I'll pass on some of CBRClassic's words of wisdom...

If it ain't broke... Don't fix it...

If it's not making any weird noises then she'll be fine...

My bro is a bike mechanic,leave it alone he say's............Sounds fine!Hmmmmmm i thought i will get a second opinion.........Been recently told"Too leave it alone"......The Cam chain/Tensioner may need to be checked @ 100 k...!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope this is off some help.Do you run on Full synthetic?

The only thing I would change, beside those things you allready have changed, would be the clutch fluid. Otherwise, if it sounds good, and has no rattelingnoise's, leave it alone and enjoy your ride. When time for a mejor service comes, the bike will let you know.

The only argument for keeping a full servicebook is resale value. A bike with a full service history is always easier to sell than bikes without.

Leave it well alone - it ain't broke, so don't fix it......
Clutch/brake fluid if it's gone dark, maybe........
You've done the rest.
(I haven't done a valve adjustment in 37000 MILES)[X(]
Or a balance shaft adjustment, either...........

Just get a feeler gauge out and check the valve clearances.
