Default Triple clamp
i was thinking, does nayone knows if a second or third generation triple clamp will fit on an 87-88 ?

I don't think so.
They sure don't look like they would interchange...

The earlier models had thinner tyres so I'd be surprised if the later ones are a straight swap.
