Talking Batteries
Thanks for the edit TBT - Guess what never made it out to pull it
You are right about one crank for the car, minus 7 this am and she fired the
first crank - phew !
Damned new 225, PA31 tires put on her yesterday though were a bit jumpy
until they warmed up - soft new rubber does not like minus temps.

My last post was edited at 10:00 AM on Jan 8. I was running late to get to NH for a ski trip. At 12:30 PM I was packed up and went to start the car. Dead, very dead.....the battery was shot. I pulled the charger and got her fired up and drover to the auto store and swapped out a new battery there. It was well below freezing and my hands were cold but no problem since.
The only drawback, the mini cooper has a vented battery and when I held up the old battery, the 2 end cells were about 1/2 full. The car takes a #47 battery and the new one (I found out while installing it) is vented. I need to do some research to see if I can fit a yellow top that is small enough into the mini. Or, find a Harley Lithium battery. Yep! Its true, I think a Harley battery may fit. Those things are huge.
