Same here, I have had them last 1-5 years.

They last longer in your truck, tomttt, because you are not driving 78k at night. They are on 100% of the time on the bike. I'll bet, on time before failure is about the same for both.

I wish that wetre true, but it isn't. I went through several Silverstar Ultras on my car in the first 40k I owned it...maybe 5 bulbs. I replaced a bulb either 2 or three times over the course of 15,000 miles I put on my 95 Suburban (uswed it for towing to the track) and I've blown a couple on bikes within a few thousand miles. Even the diagram on the back of the package they come in points out that they don't last. Standard halogen headlight bulbs last roughly forever. I sold a 2002 Hyundai a couple of years ago with 160,000 miles on it, and I"m pretty sure it still had at least one of the original headlight bulbs in it.

I've got HIDs in my car that I don't really like much (so happens that the reflectors in my car's lights don't do well with these particular HIDs), so I think I'm going to give them a shot on the bike. I'll report in when I do it.

Dr, I have had similar results, it seems that some bulbs in the line last longer than others. The ones in my 2006 Dodge truck's headlights have not been replaced, yet the fog lights have (9006 i think), The ones in my wife's van have both been replaced at least twice in 65K miles. At this point I have still not heard back from Sylvania, which is unusual, because I have contacted them in the past and they responded promptly.
