Sounds like it could be your swingarm bearings. I'd take off the swingarm and check everything - the arm bearings, shock linkages, shock itself. It's not a difficult job with the bike on its main stand. Good luck!

The swingarm doesnt give any play in the other directions, and handling is only affected when I hit a bump mid corner regardless of size. I am quite certain it is Shock, Spring or Linkage. I didnt see any bushings in the Service Manual, but you say there is one at the top Trips? I'll have another look.

Couldnt check the damper Collector, got home late from work.

When the bolt goes through the top of the shockabsorber it is going through a small metal bushing,

well there are all the ones in the linkage as well, but they take a long time to wear out

Hey Collector. Well long story short, I have been stuck driving the Saxo this week as the wench changed her hours. So I have had to run the kids to school. As such I get out in the dark, and return in the dark so until tomorrow I cant do anything m8. [>:]

If it turns out to be the rear damper make a note of the serial number before you go shopping. This can be found on the damper at the top....
