Hey i am starting to change my 88 hurricane to a more streetfighter style. i was wondering if anyone else had done this, and if they have any info on what triple clamps i could use so i can put the motocross handlebars on it, and any other suggestions on what to do. Thanks a lot

Why would you want to rip such a great bike apart? Thats a real shame as the Hurricane is in my opinion and I'm sure many others, on of the best bikes ever made. If you should go through with this, post some pics for us to see.

Hi RCM :-)

Do whatever you want to do! I bought my CBR1000 already 'streetfightered' and I love it. There are a couple of us on here who have naked bikes - peterk is another that springs to mind.

My bike has clamps which fit where the clip on bars live on the forks except they present a conventional handlebar clamp each side instead of actual handlebars - then you can fit whatever bars you want. If I come across some i'll post a link.

Oh i see, so these are 2 seperate pieces that fit on each fork, thanks a lot. If you do have any links or info on where i could find these clamps i would greatly appreciate it. Or if anyone knows the exact dimensions of the fork tubes.

Wow! Congratulations, that is a very fine looking motorcycle you have there Mr. fly70 :-)

Was it a crashed bike you created that from?

About the exhaust system - is that a 1 off or have you figured some other system will fit? Are the headers standard? Any info appreciated.

Thanks and yes, it had a little damage on the right side plastics.

Headers are standard, connector pipe and cans are self-made 1-off system.
