Default still looking good!

so i find myself at a fourway stoplight lastnight and at the other light to my left is a repsol 07, 06 or some year newer than my 96 1000f , he dosent see me because he's checking out the chicks in the convertble across from him , his light changes , he see's me and gives me a fellow biker head nod and gives a double take seeeing it's a fellow cbr then pulls a wheelie through the light for about another 1/4 mile down the road ( squid! ) . Now a reasonable man would say he was showing off for the chicks but a cbr rider would say he was showing off for another cbr rider , still looking good!!!

Has to be a squid - pity he's not on a typical squid bike, like a Gixxer. Guys like that give CBR's a bad name........Not that I'd turn one down if it was offered to me.......[X(] - probably sell it and buy a newer 1KF.

My elder son works for KTM, so I get to ride all his stuff.....the SuperDuke's quite a machine....
and then there's the new Buell 1125, 145 BHP etc etc........but I'd rather have a new Hurricane, or a (cough cough) Blackbird....... But the Hurricane's a fixture, not going anywhere without me.

What is a "squid" in this context?
(i thought it was any of an order (Teuthoidea) of cephalopods having eight short arms and two usually longer tentacles, a long tapered body, a caudal fin on each side, and usually a slender internal chitinous support.)

Your scientific description of the genus "squid" is totally correct, CosmoBob, but I am talking about
Stupid, Quarrelsome, Underdressed Ignorant Dangerous people who ride superbikes in short pants and sandals, with a tee shirt, and often no helmet or gloves, mostly seen on the latest Gixxers which they aren't competent to ride.............! [:@][:@]
Oh, the joys of science ! But comparing these people to genuine Squid, genus Teuthoideae, would be giving the eight armed cousins far too little credit....THEY are intelligent creatures with a far better understanding of their environment than the squid to which I was referring !!
I stand corrected - thank you CosmoBob !![X(]

Shadow1, have you tested the KTM RC8 1190 ?
I met two guys the other day that hadthisvery samebike (orange)....took a chat with them.
They had to wait 4-5 month's before they got the bikes....pretty long waiting.
Just have to say that they look awesome when you see them live compared to pictures. Did not like the front when i saw it on picture but changed my opinion when i saw them the live.
