Hey wouldn't it be great if we could all get together and have a mass group of ONLY CBR 1000's.

Well shes all ready for the trip comfy seat 100 mm extra padding for WIFE / Co Pilot and a HAWK air seat so no problems on the back I also made an attachable back rest, the touring screen which they said would change the aerodynamic which it didn't. Shes a damb comfy bike to ride and I am 6 feet 3. The pictures will follow in around Mid January

Nice job on the seat. Bike looks well. What did you attacth the seat rest to? Was it where the grab rail goes? You never said how many of you are going? And yes, I will think about bringing the bike over, so will start looking into it next year and see what is involved and what I would need to sort out to get the ball rolling. Something to look forward to.....

The actual back rest fits to the Gear Sac Rack and thats attached separate to the grab rail, when making the backrest I placed two bolts through the wood then covered it, I then lined up the holes and drilled a small hole in each bolt and then placed a split pin through it so it can be taken off in a matter of seconds and the gear sac bag come off too. I have attached a pic to show you. As for bringing your 1000 over here well you will be glad you did believe me. Every weekend we take ours out and do anything from 200 to 500 Ks today we are off to a Historical show in Rockhampton all up trip about 350 when you consider shops and having a look around, and all 100 Kl PLUS speed limit.

Well we live on the east coast about 1700 Kl north from Sydney and about 600 Kl north of Brisbane. Our Winters sometimes get down to about 10 Degrees C at night and up to 25 C in the daytime. Today the top temp was 33 C over X Mass it should get up to around 40 and over so it get hot up this way

peterk, I hope that the Bell Liner road is still as good as it used to be my Old Z1A 900 ( Back 25 years ago ) used to love that part of the country so my CBR should adore it then, I saw a lovely place to stay on the great outdoors last week at Katoomba so if you see a red and black CBR 1000 with Blue and White ( Personalized ) Queensland number plates that read Pug 57 don't be shy say hello. We have no set plan, we just don't know where we are staying and for how long all we know we are on the road for 4 weeks. It would be nice to have a group of CBRs but hey so long as you are cruisign on the road with a group pf mates, what could be better.

Around my area Central Queensland it gets up to the early 40 's when you go down the coast a bit the temp varies and can get a little hot too but on an average I would say 36 Degrees which isn't too bad

I was just inquiring as when it would be better to come as I am a great believer in wearing leathers and don't really fancy getting cooked on the bike. So was hoping that the winter might be cooler but with some great weather. Sent a e-mail to your embassy and am waiting for a reply, also the same goes for your customs. What I will now do is, if thats ok with you, is to e-mail you direct. I have many more questions, to many to list now and its getting time for bed, as work is plentiful so it keeps me busy.
