Ok serious question, anyone else unable to get the key in to pop the seat with a wingrack fitted?

I win. In 2006 you didn't own some kind of crazy blooby thing on your garage door and you didn't own a Black & Decker Workmate. I'll pm my details to pick up my prize

Never happen with a Nonfango system..................:)
But to answer your question,
you bought your fold up workbench in the past few years.

I want a prize too..........

Dammit!! I'm too late.

Maybe the prize is the Workmate??:D

Seriously though karlo, that's a pretty silly design fault mate. As I see it, your choices are; 'modify' :( the Wingrack or take the actual lock part out of the seat catch and fashion some kind of lever instead.

Maybe a combo. Pull the lock out, drill a hole in the side of the Wingrack just big enough for a long screwdriver to be put in and operate the catch??

Can I have the prize now?:)

Or remove the bar that connects the lock to the latch, attach a wire to the latch and put the wire down through the back for easy acess.

Never happened with the Sprockie engineered version either :D

But hey thats nutz....... nothing a little pull string ---as outlaw says---- would not fix tho'

Nice kitty on the garage door ;)

Yes I operate the seat latch by the key with my wing rack on. Oh by the way, mine is on an '87. :icon_doh:

Going to see if I can get a smaller key cut as both keys (OE Honda) are the same length, if the new key is the same length then it's key modding time.

I reckon it could be shortened by at least 6mm to operate the ign and seat lock or 15mm just to operate the seat lock. at 6mm still would be tight but I'm pretty sure it would work.

It's that cat face in the garage door. Right?

Every "Hello Kitty" I've ever seen before has been kinda pink and white and cute. I can only presume that the black one is the evil "HELLO KITTY" twin.
