Default Spools : on 1000F swingarm

anyone drilled & or tapped spools into a 1000F swingarm ?

if so got some pics ?

Was given some PB stands as a recent gift and want to use
spools not the pad end of the adapters (dual function PB stands)

Might have to make something like this

I think if you can do it, a supporting bracket for the spools to screw into would be better. I'd be reluctant to drill the swing-arm, it's hollow and I'm not convinced the thin steel would offer enough support for the threaded section of the spool.

Have you gone mad???

Let me guess....you got a new drill for Christmas........???????

Instead, I would mod the stand that you plan on using on the spools so that it engages the rear axle and or the area where the center-stand is so that rear tire can be removed.

Well yeah I think drilling in front of the axle would not be wise even for
a lightweight like me , brackets to the rear is what I'm thinking. Nah
TBT . the stands were the enabling event here and spools are better than
pads if your are wrenching with any force on the bike at all. Just don't
trust the swingarm not sliding on the pads if any wrenching force is being
used. Spools on the other hand pretty much lock the swingarm to the
stand .....no fear off bike falling over

I'm thinking I may grind flat the rear adjuster plates and add a 90 degree
alum bracket to it with holes for the spools to bolt through.

Think I'll find a set of sacrificial adjuster plates on Ebay

What I would do: weld a threaded coupler nut to the bottom of the swingarm. Should be no more than $3 for both sides
