Damn it Dylan.... I could sit and listen to you talk about welding for ever.
Tell us another metal melting story. I wanna know who wins in the fight between the MIG and TIG.
If you whisper I might even go all weak at the knees
You have caused me to weld in anger..... something I said I would never do.
I'm afraid that now I have no choice but to fabricate a machine. A machine of revenge.

oh okay, well I picked up some bar stock this am a heavier gauge for the
outer frame and a lighter for the cross and support pieces. Planning
on a monokey mount plate myself as i picked up a cheap Givi E360
recently and I just acquired a GEARS NAV pack so not planning on needing
side racks for hard side cases.

Now I 'm just figuring out bend marks and the like, getting it totally symmetrical
is the fun part...... cutting and welding is the easy bit.

So I've given up on the rear rack (don't have the right tools) and have turned my focus on cleaning up the sloppy play in my shifter

I dunno, man. I'm thinking the camelbak would have been less fuss.
I've been looking at them and they're pretty cool. Some of them hold like 100oz of fluid and have a ton of cargo space as a back pack.
Hey, you could probably get a couple of those bite valves that they use on the camelbak system. That would be perfect for this. No leaks.

I'm gonna go pick up one of these for the magna this weekend. For my morning coffee....

They swivel so the cup is always upright, and they're only like $23 at a shop in town.

My sister has a marine version of this for her Burgman. My setup has a hose running from the jug to the tank and a magnetic bite valve on the end so it stays on the tank.

You may want to look into something like this now. I am looking ahead at the frequent stops.
